What should I expect during my first massage appointment?
During your first massage appointment, you can expect a clean and welcoming environment. Here's what typically happens:
Arrival: We kindly ask that you arrive 10 minutes early for your appointment to complete any necessary paperwork. This ensures we can start your massage session promptly at the scheduled time. Your punctuality helps us provide you with the best possible experience.
Consultation: Your therapist will begin with a brief consultation to discuss your health history, any specific concerns or goals for the session, and preferences regarding pressure and techniques.
Privacy and Comfort: You'll be given privacy to undress to your comfort level and lie on a massage table under a sheet or towel. The therapist will ensure you are properly draped throughout the session, uncovering only the area being worked on.
Massage Session: The therapist will use a variety of techniques tailored to your needs, such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, or other modalities discussed during the consultation. They will check in with you regarding pressure and comfort throughout the session.
Aftercare: After the massage, your therapist may recommend stretches, self-care techniques, or additional sessions based on your goals. They will also discuss any reactions you may experience post-massage, such as increased relaxation or temporary soreness.
Feedback: Your feedback is valuable! Feel free to communicate any preferences, discomfort, or questions during or after the session. Your therapist is there to ensure you have a positive and beneficial experience.
Overall, your first massage appointment is about relaxation, relief, and addressing your wellness goals. Our goal is to create a comfortable and effective treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.
