our team
Alex, kayla, & Zoi
We’re a small team, but no two sessions here feel the same. Each of us brings our own strengths, specialties, and way of working from deep, focused treatment to more intuitive, full-body care. What we share is the intention behind it: to listen closely, work thoughtfully, and meet your body where it’s at.
Our work is grounded in a strong understanding of how the body functions, but it’s shaped just as much by experience, feel, and attention to detail. That’s what allows each session to be both effective and genuinely personalized.

Alex Barbuscia
Owner & Therapist
Alex Barbuscia is the owner and lead therapist at Helia Massage Therapy, founded in 2019. Her work focuses on deep tissue and treatment-based massage, using a combination of techniques including Graston, intraoral work, cupping, and Ashiatsu. She’s known for a focused, problem-solving approach looking beyond where it hurts to understand how the body is actually moving, compensating, and holding tension. Her sessions are detailed, intentional, and built around what’s going on beneath the surface, not just what’s obvious. She’s drawn to the kind of work that requires a more precise, hands-on approach where details matter.

Kayla Waddell
Therapist
Kayla Waddell graduated from Washington Spa Academy in 2024. Her work focuses on therapeutic and treatment-based massage, incorporating techniques such as Ashiatsu alongside more targeted, hands-on work. She is known for a steady, grounded approach, working with intention and adapting each session to what the body needs in the moment. Her sessions are focused, consistent, and built around addressing patterns of tension and restriction without losing flow. She is drawn to work that blends depth with control, where pressure, pacing, and technique come together to create meaningful change.

Zoi Romig
Therapist
Zoi Romig graduated from Washington Spa Academy in 2025. Her work focuses on massage that supports nervous system downregulation and full-body reset, helping the body shift out of a constant state of tension. She is known for a calm, immersive approach that allows the body to slow down and let go. Her sessions are fluid, intentional, and built to help create space for the body to settle and recalibrate. She is drawn to work that helps people slow down enough to feel the difference, where the body can reset and the mind can quiet down.
